Like many others we were simply amazed when we first came across beauty in the form of talented artist Erikan Ekefrey work.
Passion was the word that stood out when admiring his art as the attention to detail on all his pieces are nothing short of phenomenal.
His work embodies the African culture and captivates city life with its bustling elements and generous splashes of colour.
African Sweetheart caught up with the fast rising artist to learn a little more about him and of course his stunning art works.
A Little About Yourself
I was born in 1981 April 16th. A Nigerian from Akwa Ibom State got my
studied Art in Federal Collage of Education Akoka Lagos Nigeria.
Inspirations
I use oil on canvas as my media, I got my inspiration from my father
who is a renowned Artist in Nigeria known as Emmanuel Ekefrey and I grew up learning from
him I also am managed by Stefan Meisel who is German.
Tell Us About Your Art
My artwork is a conceptual art that comes from the inner man. My vision is to exploit the
world of Art with my artwork and to be a renowned Artist and after gaining impart in return, I will
donate my experiences and also support the upcoming Artist who are looking for an opportunities
to be established.
My painting is an African style like Art with the display of cultural heritage with
the demonstration of masks faces and non - figurative images basically I use a lot of masks on my
paintings to express feelings and motions about my painting.
