HEIDI CHISHOLM
Born in the small South African village of Clocolan, Heidi started out in graphic design, moving to Cape Town where she worked for numerous design and advertising agencies.
At the beginning of the millennium she sought her own creative freedom, co-founding Daddy Buy Me A Pony, a leading, independent design studio. Over the next eight years the studio gained an international reputation, attracting a renowned clientele.
Between participating in international exhibitions such as “Made In Africa” at Saint-Etienne Design Biennale, France and “New Africa” exhibition in Copenhagen, Denmark and hosting a Daddy Buy Me A Pony solo exhibition in Berne, Switzerland, Heidi and her partner Gareth parented two children.
Heidi Chisholm’s achievements belie her small town origins. Her trophy case includes: Clio (Miami, USA) One Show (New York, USA) D&AD (London, UK) Loerie (South Africa) Art directors Club (New York, USA) awards.

By the time the family immigrated to New York in 2008, Heidi’s work had already appeared in numerous books, newspapers and magazines. Her New York based graphic design studio was quick to garner international clients.
In between her commercial design work, Heidi co-founded the playful Extra Fancy - designing and producing products.
Recently she co-launched Mr Somebody & Mr Nobody, a creative collaboration with Sharon Lombard that blurs the boundaries between design and contemporary art.
