Fouziya Nourideen is a trainee auditor and accountant from Guildford in the UK.
She is aged 26 and is 5’5 in height, so she is determined to prove that every day women don’t need to fit fashion stereotypes.
Fouziya moved to England from Holland two years ago to pursue a master’s degree in Finance, at the university of Reading. Soon after Fouziya completed her postgraduate degree, she found herself working for Moore Stephens (Guildford) LLP accounting firm.
Fouziya explained how she was discovered: “One day I was on the tube on my way home from accountancy classes and this lady handed me a flyer for a modelling competition called ‘The face of fashion for Africa’.
“After a long debate with myself I decided to give it a go and applied just before the deadline. I was surprised that I got through to the finals and even though I did not win that competition I really enjoyed the whole experience.”
Since then Fouziya has been asked to model in several other fashion shows, of which African Fashion Week, London, was the most prestigious.
Fouziya’s family is originally from Ghana, but she grew up in Amsterdam and moved to England 2 years ago to do a masters degree in Finance at the University of Reading. She then joined Moore Stephens in Guildford as a trainee accountant and auditor.
Such striking looks!
African Sweetheart wishes you the very best for the future!
